Mobile Mini
design
The Mobile Mini presented an ongoing design challenge to create a weight and cables system that was stable while in use, easy to set up, transport, and put away. It needed to be comfortable to touch. It would need to be made from a minimum number of components, be cost-effective to manufacture, and easy to assemble. It would need to be lightweight, efficient to ship, and to store. Functionally, it needed to have two independent weight tracks systems, four omni-directional pulleys, and an 18 ft. cable length.
3rd gen mobile mini
The 3d Generation Mobile Mini structural components are all crafted from Red Oak, accented with black/gold resin. These discs, cylinders, and rods are turned, sanded to 600 grits, and finished with two coats of hand rubbed Osmo Polyx-Oilusing a wood lathe. The use of a lathe for these stages greatly reduces the time/cost of sanding and finishing, and results in a perfect mirror finish. Every surface, and
point of contact is rounded, warm, and welcoming to the touch.

2nd gen mobile mini
The Second Generation Mobile Mini prioritizes stability over visual aesthetics, making it the most stable of all the Mobile Minis. Its structural frame is composed of 1.5-inch, 1/8-inch wall, 6061aluminum tubing, requiring a TIG welder for manufacturing. This robust construction ensures exceptional stability during use. Unique features of the Second Generation Mobile Mini include its polished aluminum aesthetic,
which aligns well with professional contexts, similar to the design of the Pilates Cadillac. The aluminum tubing is turned on a lathe for polishing purposes, enhancing its sleek, professional appearance. This generation stands out for its unparalleled stability, making it ideal for rigorous exercise routines. Additionally, the use of high-quality 6061 aluminum tubing not only provides strength but also ensures durability and longevity. The polished finish not only adds to its visual appeal but also makes it easy to clean and maintain. 1st gen mobile mini
The First Generation Mobile Mini stands out with its furniture-like design, setting it apart from other models. The frame is crafted from 3-inch by 1 1/8-inch red oak, giving it a robust and elegant appearance. All edges and corners are meticulously routed with a 1/2-inch round over, ensuring a smooth and tactile experience. Unique features of the First Generation Mobile Mini include its assembly
hardware, which consists of threaded inserts and flathead bolts, contributing to its seamless and refined look. The woodwork is sanded to a fine 220 grit, followed by a hand-rubbed polyurethane finish, enhancing its traditional and classical feel.
